We do not share your personal data with any entity outside of the University of California, Irvine . We do not and will never sell, rent, or share your name, mailing address, e-mail address or any other data that can personally identify you an any way to any outside group.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, or remove portions of this policy at any time. Please check this policy periodically for changes. Your continued use of the TechnoExpo 2008 Web site following the posting of changes to this policy will mean you accept those changes.

Information We Collect

In general, you can visit TechnoExpo 2008 on the Web without revealing any information about yourself. If you register to attend the event we will collect personal information including e-mail address.  If you propose a presentation or an exhibit, we will collect sufficient information to include you in the TechnoExpo program.

Sending You Information

When you sign up for the event, we collect your e-mail address to contact you for event related information only. As stated above, we will never make your contact or preference information available to anyone outside of UC Irvine, including vendors, unless required to do so pursuant to a judicial or governmental order, and even then, only to the extent so ordered.

How we protect your personal information

Data you enter during a visit to our site is stored on systems using the same security standards and procedures that protect our essential business data. Access to your data is restricted to authorized employees of UC Irvine for business purposes and based on our employees' need to know. Any sensitive or personal data is transmitted in an encrypted form and requires the use of a secure browser.

Cookies

We use cookies, i.e. small files which are stored on a user's hard drive, as part of the web site's normal service to enable information about customers and their preferences to be stored and to prevent unauthorized access to a customer's account online. However, we do not use cookies on customers' PCs to monitor an individual's use of the Internet.

Links to other sites

As a convenience to you, we sometimes provide links to other Web sites. These sites are not under the control of  TechnoExpo 2008; and the fact that we provide such links is not an indication that TechnoExpo 2008 endorses or is liable for those sites or their content.
