How did TechnoExpo get started?
TechnoExpo began as an effort to help campus business units understand the increasing role technology services had in day-to-day University business. Over time, participation was broadened to other units which provide technology-based services, and is now open to the entire campus.
What can I expect to see at TechnoExpo?
TechnoExpo includes two main kinds of activities. There are exhibits where campus departments are on hand to introduce and explain their various technology-based services. You can also attend the short informative presentations to explore technologies and services in more depth.
I don’t have five hours to attend this event. Can I come for just a portion of it?
Yes, absolutely. There is no requirement for how much of the event you can attend. Please feel free to come for the length of time that is most convenient for you.
How do I get to TechnoExpo?
If you’re on campus and able to, we encourage you to walk to the Student Center!
If you are located in Research Park, a shuttle will run from 100 Theory to the Student Center continuously from 9 am to 3:30 pm.
If you need to drive, you may park in the Student Center Parking Structure or Lot 1.
The event is located in the Pacific Ballroom of the Student Center.
Is there an event app for TechnoExpo?
Yes, the With U · For U mobile app has a dedicated event module for TechnoExpo. Download the app in advance to explore the exhibitor hall map, view the event schedule and take the post-event survey. Available from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
How much does TechnoExpo cost?
TechnoExpo is funded by the Office of Information Technology. It is hosted in an effort to improve awareness and understanding of available technology services. There is no cost to participate.
Who can attend TechnoExpo?
TechnoExpo is meant to help UCI faculty and staff, although guests from other UCs are welcome to attend.
What time will TechnoExpo start and end?
TechnoExpo will start at 10:00 am and will end at 3:00 pm.
The exhibitor hall will be open during that time with presentations held throughout. There is no requirement to attend this event for the duration. If you only have an hour, feel free to stop in at any time, for as long or as short as time allows.
